SALT LAKE CITY AIRPORT

A series of digital media touchpoints were created by Cicada to showcase the design of the Salt Lake City Airport redevelopment. Video presentations guide viewers through the re-envisioned facilities, while an interactive VR experience allows users to explore the new design features, whether through a VR headset, online, or at on-site kiosks.

Virtual Terminal

A custom VR application was developed to provide an interactive showcase of the airport’s new design features. The web-based VR experience allows users to explore the new spaces either on screen, through a VR headset, or at kiosks located within the airport. Pop-up information and highlighted features are animated, responding to the viewer’s gaze, enabling deeper exploration of the airport’s design.

Arrival and
Departure

Two custom videos were developed to showcase the experience of entering and exiting the newly designed airport for both visitors and residents of Salt Lake City. The detailed 3D scenes created for the presentation also enabled the production of captivating still images, completing the comprehensive media package.

In a complex and competitive world, Cicada Design is your creative partner for impactful visual storytelling.

We empower developers, designers, and institutions to move proposals forward, engaging audiences through compelling narratives that cut through the noise and deliver meaningful experiences.

Cicada’s digital imagery and animation became a central feature in public engagement sessions, used on screen, print, web and social media to excite the community about the possibilities for the Lakeview site. In turn this encouraged feedback to assist the design team in refining the plan to best suit the future residents and visitors.

Exhibition Integrated Media

“The animation was an even bigger hit than we imagined – it appeared at 4 touchpoints on the booth, including on the monitor of Modus V.

The interactive OR looked fantastic on the 55” touch screens on the show floor, and was used as a tool to walk surgeons through workflow while our demo stations were busy.”
