A fundraising video produced by Cicada Design Inc. promoting a new performing arts centre in Lubbock, Texas contributed to the buzz of enthusiasm surrounding the unveiling of the final design by Toronto-based Diamond Schmitt Architects. The Lubbock Entertainment Performing Arts Association (LEPAA), the non-profit organization reponsible for raising funds for the arts centre, used the video to introduce the project, to the delight of the audience members in attendance.
The official unveiling of the Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts, whose namesake was born in Lubbock, took place on April 12, 2016. Patty D’Alise presented the video on behalf of the LEPAA. The LEPAA had hired Cicada to create the video which was tailored to promoting and celebrating the arts in the west Texas city and which is now posted prominently on the LEPAA website.
